4/5 - 11/07/2018 Quality (4) Value for money (5) Proper old school camping kit This is the second shelter half tent I have owned. The memories of the first one will stay with me forever. I dragged that thing all over the country and it never let me down. This one is exactly the same. These tents were the pioneers of wild camping. They are virtually indestructible owing to the fact that they were developed to be carried into war on the back of a soldier. I'll list off some pros and cons that I experienced when using this tent below: PRO'S : 1. They are easy on the wallet compared to some of the modern nonsense that's being sold in outdoor shops these days. 2. They are super strong canvas tents that will stand up to almost anything you can throw at it.3. They are a simple design and easy to erect once you get used to them.4. They are versatile and adaptable. You can set these shelter halves up in a number of different ways.5. They can be waterproofed easily as long as you maintain the proofing.Cons: 1. Little bit on the heavy side compared to modern tents2. These do not come with a hood bag so you will need to source one if u want to use it as a poncho. 3. They are becoming harder to find and one day they just won't be available anymore. So in summary, if your looking for a rock solid piece of kit to take with you on a real wild camping trip ( the way camping should be) then pick up one of these bad boys. You won't be disappointed.
